Read, Write and Understand Arabic Survey

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Alhamdulillah!  The Read & Write Arabic Course is still going strong.

So far there are about 70 students registered for the course.  About 30 students attend classes at the Heideveld Mosque.  The rest are receiving the notes and audio/ video lessons via WhatsApp.

As stated before the main focus of this course is the Reading & Writing of Arabic.  The course will also cover most Tajwid Rules as well as some grammar rules (indirectly).

So far we've managed to complete the First Module, although we'll be revising all aspects during the next two weeks.  We shall also start the Second Module within the next few days.  Yes, the classes are only once a week (Monday evenings), but lessons are sent to the students via WhatsApp throughout the week.

The students have been requested to complete all the exercises of Module One and based on the results they will be regrouped, according to levels of competence or attendance.  The students who are not attending the classes will be put in two groups: Those who can cope on their own and those who will be linked to a future group of on-line or attending students.

The aim is to go fully on-line with this course as well as other courses from September 2022 onwards, In-Sha-Allah.  The format of the on-line program will be explained soon.

Please watch this space!

Wa-Salaam!
